The Database, which is offered to your attention, contains the items of information about the space start, which have been carried out since October 4, 1957, that is from the beginning of the space age. All the start, which have been carried out by the Soviet Union (Russia), USA, France, Great Britain, Japan, China, India, Israel, international consortia Arianespace and Sea Launch, and also attempts of start made by Iraq, Brazil and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea but finished with failure, are taken into account in the Database.
There are the items of information of all the space vehicles both put in space and lost at emergency start collected in the Database.
Using the Database it is possible to receive the following items of information:
- Serial number of start of the carrier (the through numbering takes into account the start of carriers which have finished by placing of the space vehicles in space; the own numbering is applied to the emergency start. NB, none of the other sources can give you the information about the total number of the start which have been carried out in the world for all years of space exploration;
- The country which has carried out the start or made attempts of start;
- Date of start (universal time);
- Time of start (universal time);
- The cosmodrome from which the start was carried out;
- The space-vehicle launching site from which the start was carried out;
- Used rocket - carrier with the indication of serial or factory numbers;
- The name of the space vehicles, which were placed in space after start;
- Registration numbers of the space vehicles (in the system of the Space Headquarters of the USA / in the system of the International Organization on Researching and Using of Space COSPAR);
- Parameters of the orbits of the space vehicles: inclination of the orbit, orbital period, height above the Earth's surface in perigee and apogee;
- Date of landing or termination of existence of a space vehicle (universal time);
- Time of landing or termination of existence of a space vehicle (universal time);
- Term of existence of a space vehicle;
- Brief comments.
The source for compiling of the Database was taken, first of all, from the data received from the periodical press of the 60 - 90s' with additions and corrections based on the information accessible in the Internet.
